BTU has been retained to undertake M&E maintenance and small works projects by this prestigious Central London University across its estate since 2017.

Working within a diverse portfolio of modern and heritage buildings across London, comprising offices, lecture halls, halls of residence, entertainment and leisure spaces that are in constant use by students and visitors. BTU’s role is to keep the heating and cooling systems within the buildings(which comprise over 1500 assets) running smoothly.

To do this we work to an agreed operational maintenance programme, to operational deadlines, issuing reviews and progress, with specified KPIs measure performance.
Maintaining over 1500 assets, including but not limited to:

The most relevant tasks performed included:
Boilers and Water Systems – domestic and commercial boiler installation, heating systems to service and maintain boiler plant and associated equipment, pipework and drainage. We carry out annual service & landlord gas safety check (where appropriate) in accordance with Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998.
Air Conditioning and HVAC Systems - to service and maintain approximately 136 various sized units spread across Goldsmiths main Campus.
Lightning Protection Testing - to annually test a number of Lightning Protection systems.
F-Gas register - updating and maintaining this to comply with regulation.
Ensuring all plant is maintained to optimise energy efficiency.
Advising on modifications that can be made to improve energy efficiency.
